At the Callahan Law Firm, P.C., our staff offers clients high quality legal representation in the area of disability benefits law. Our principal attorney is James D. (Jim) Callahan. • While serving in the Army, Mr. Callahan assisted and worked with soldiers who were facing disability issues. In addition to the Army, Mr. Callahan has had other careers in which his focus was helping people, which he continues through his legal practice. Mr. Callahan’s wife is also in the community helping children as a pediatric physical therapist.
• Mr. Callahan was an editor for the SOUTH CAROLINA LAW REVIEW, is a past president of the student chapter of South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association and student editor of a treatise on torts. 
• He is the President-elect of the East Cooper / Mt. Pleasant chapter of the Kiwanis Club.
• Mr. Callahan is proud to be a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives. This is the major legal organization for those who represent persons with Social Security and SSI disability claims.
• He teaches courses on Social Security disability law to other attorneys and interested professionals. 

Working alongside Mr. Callahan is dedicated legal assistant Marie Nutt.  Marie provides invaluable support, including the especially important job of taking basic information from our clients upon their contacting our firm.  She does everything possible to help the attorney respond to clients’ questions and concern, and support the preparation of their case.  In some cases, the law firm associates other attorneys to provide additional support and representation for the needs of our clients.
